The Most Reverend Terry Flynn STB

Was born to Roman Catholic Parents in the City of Cardiff, Wales.

On finishing his High School Education he entered the English College at Valladolid, Spain, where he underwent the full six-year seminary training course, leaving as a deacon with a degree in Theology and Philosophy.

Terry was ordained priest of the Archdiocese of Cardiff on 10th July 1976 in his home parish. He served the Archdiocese until 1987 when boundary changes led to him being incardinated in the Diocese of Menevia where he served as Parish Priest and Press Officer for the diocese until 1991.

Disillusioned with increasing conservatism and facing a personal crisis Fr Terry laid aside his ministry for the sake of his personal integrity and honesty before God.

1998 saw the Holy Spirit using Archbishop Bruce Simpson of Long Island as a tool to invite Fr Terry into the independent fold. Along with Archbishop Dominic Martin and four other American Archbishops, +Bruce nominated and consecrated Terry as Bishop with responsibility for the UK. The Consecration took place in Washington DC on 28th September 2001.

Bishop Terry was installed as Metropolitan Archbishop of the Ecumenical Catholic Church UK, part of the newly formed United Ecumenical Catholic Church on May31st 2005.
