The Reverend Glenn Maximilian Reed LL.B (Hons)
(Duke of
Edinburgh Scholar,
Inner
Temple former practising barrister)
Ordained Deacon in October 2003 and Priest in June 2004 within the Open Episcopal Church
UK &
Ireland (Old Catholic). Incardinated into the ECCUK June 2007.
Fr Glenn specialises in funeral ministry and is often instructed to deal with difficult and tragic cases. His Parish - the Parish of St Maximilian Kolbe, embraces the whole of
Bristol where he functions as a community priest. However, he doesn't just deal with funerals. He takes the Most Holy Sacrament to those who are infirm, conducts baptisms and blessings and confession when asked.
Fr Glenn is actively considering returning to the Bar as a sole practitioner to specialise in civil advisory and court work for a limited number of solicitors so that his ministry will not be drastically adversely affected.
Other interests are: cooking, writing, chess, and the absolute enjoyment of his family - wife, Debbi and son, Alexander, along with his two exotic pets, a rat snake and a royal python.
An unusual cleric? Most definitely!

The Reverend Nicola Martin-Davis
Cert Ed EN(G) Bethany Counsellor Ministry&
Mission
I was a nurse for 14 years and have worked in education for 14 years. After qualifying as a nurse I specialised in elderly care rehabilitation, drug and alcohol addiction, mental health and terminal care. After achieving my teaching qualification, I specialised in working with Behavioural problems. I worked with offenders in terms of behaviour analysis and awareness, adult literacy issues, disability awareness and disaffected school children, focusing on Child Protection and social and emotional behavioural problems. I taught psychology and effective communication skills, both verbal and non verbal and designed, developed and implemented many packages and systems of education for disaffected youth and adults in conjunction with the Open College Network. To supplement my income as a nurse, I worked as a freelance writer, producing health awareness columns in newspapers and copywriting for the medical and tourist industries.
My priesthood has recently led me to people who have Alzheimer’s disease and the support of those who look after them. I am chaplain to a care home and am expanding into bereavement training for nursing staff. Although I conduct many weddings and Baptisms, as a bereavement counsellor, I focus my ministry on those souls suffering through loss and social isolation, striving to achieve a broader approach to funeral ministry.
